"Kore." A familiar voice called out to him.
"Hey, wake up." Another voice called out.
Kore had slowly opened his eyes, light filling his vision, blinding him momentarily before his eyes adjusted and he saw Leo and Zyn standing in front of him with a look of disappointment more than anything else.
"Were you just sleeping here while we were in the dungeon?" Zyn said while looking down at Kore
"No no, I didn't want to go farther than I already had." Kore refuted this by showing them the watch, which had the number twelve on it.
They had seemed taken aback by the number that was there, as this had been completely unexpected of Kore.
"Nice job, Kore I knew you had it in you!" Leo shouted out while putting his hand out for Kore to grab.
"Though that is nice, what is that thing that is sitting next to you." Zyn said this while staring at Flames.
Kore took Leo's hand and got pulled up off the ground he was sitting on.
"Well, do you two remember that egg I used to carry around, It hatched from it."
"I don't think I've ever heard of a dog hatching from an egg, but a first for everything I guess." Zyn said
"I think that it's time to go now because the sun is setting and it'd be a pain to be stuck in the dark." Leo said while walking out of the dungeon.
Both Zyn and Kore just followed, and they set off toward the school, but in particular their dorm rooms, having some conversations on the way back about what went on and what they fought and saw in the dungeon.
Kore had hoped that the princess had left his room by now, considering it had been several hours since he had left her there in order to go into the dungeon. But now, he couldn't stall for time nor have a proper explanation for why she was there if she had still been there.
After a while, the sun had gone down and they were still walking, but they had been able to see the lights of the buildings in the distance, which meant they were fairly close to reaching the dorms and finally being able to get some proper rest instead of sleeping on the floor of a dungeon.
CRACK!
A large branch had shattered behind them, and it appeared as if the air around them had gone silent, the crickets no longer chirping and the birds no longer singing, they turned to see what had made everything go silent, and it was a bear-looking thing. Though it was there, it didn't seem to have any hostile intentions yet, but its aura was overbearing and that of an emperor.
It stood at the edge of the forest staring with its beaming red eyes staring almost into the very being of the group, and that's all it took. They all broke off into a sprint, not wanting to fight whatever that monster was. It hadn't chased them, just sitting and staring at them as they ran.
They made it to the dorm room huffing after running faster than they've ever run in the panic of seeing such a monster. Even though they didn't know what exactly it was, they knew it was a monster with some type of intelligence and plenty of strength to back it up.
'What the hell was that.' While catching his breath, Kore thought
He looked around at the other two, and it was obvious everyone was thinking the same thing. It was a terrifying encounter, and he thought that even the teachers couldn't beat whatever was there.
Kore needed to clear his mind from that, so he laid all his gear down and sat down on his bed, where he put his head down and rested a bit while petting Flames, who sat next to him, he rolled over and eventually fell asleep.

He woke up at what appeared to be sunrise Kore didn't want to get up as he was sore all over, but he really didn't have a choice in the matter as he had to get ready and get what was needed done, which had been school.
The walk from the room to the classroom felt a little longer, but he decided that it would pass as the day progressed and he would become more and more awake.
