Weeks after…
Day by day Daerin woke up with mixed emotions of both excitement and cheerlessness. He had been preparing his physical body to be ready for his new job. He ran on the beach every day and made sure to reach Rexana's place.
He could see her and had been watching her from afar day by day, monitoring her health improvement. Every day she improved, she started walking again and she looked happier with her parents.
From the outside, Daerin could see that the old Rexana was back. For him, it would be better that way. She had managed to move on and he thought it wouldn't be the best idea not to show himself up to her and reminded her of the pain of what he brought when he didn't have enough to offer her anyway.
