As if someone switched on the light on Daerins head flashing a light in his mind's eye. He remembered how the sea had been her crying shoulder since then and he remembered her sharing that she could stay under it if she wanted to end her pain.
"Diving, she could be diving," Daerin stated. "We should get to the yacht and find her on the sea."
"Are you serious? It's getting dark and kind of windy. I don't think Rexana will risk herself to death just because she's mad," Rocco chortled.
"Maybe she would after she heard those words." Daerin's eyes widened, not only anxious but with dread to be the cause of Rexana's death, and more than that, he didn't know if losing her won't hurt him. He would even feel devastated.
The two of them abruptly went to the yacht and Daerin drove the boat to maximum speed. His heart was bouncing wildly under his chest.
