"After our father caused a great mythical war in which none could be called winner, we were forced to hide here. Nothing happened for thousand years, just like us, our father hid somewhere without any clue about his whereabouts."Dalia explained with a heavy gaze, memories, and scenes of a bloody massacre where she lost her siblings and many friends still remained in her head.
"Honestly, after such a long time of silence, we thought he ran away from this world...but that was only our way to calm our hearts that were living in constant fear for thousand years. Even with a prophecy that you would come, were afraid he would one day find this place and finish work he started a long time ago.." Duncan said without his usual smile. Even this at-first-sight careless person that lived his life with training and battle wore an expression that was hard to describe.
Orion was glad he was able to see new emotion on the faces of being that should be the absolute peak of all creatures in the existence,

Their combat ability is far from a god, but they are certainly strong enough to kill the mythical creature. He before never used this ability to fight, it was a convenient ability he created to spend enough time with all of us when we were little..."Duncan responded with a nostalgic smile, he knew about the abilities of his father most because he always begged him to spar and train with him when he was just a kid and sometimes even after he grew up. His father would always complain about not enjoying fighting but still ended up fulfilling the request of his cute son.
"I think we can skip unnecessary bullshit and get straight to the point..you know something, don't you?"He looked at Dalia who was now for a while silent through the corner of his eyes,
There seems to be no respect in his words, to a stranger it would look like he is in the superior position in their relationship, but Dalia could feel through her connection with him that Orion had already developed a genuine bond with her and others over the years he stayed here and honestly respected them. This was just his personality and the way he treated others, even if she tried, it was impossible to change him.
"Even if we can´t determine why there is a game that is an almost perfect copy of our world and who made it, I believe that fath-.....Sariel is hiding behind the shadow of that story...mainly some characters"
It was obvious that Orion was reborn in a different world where exist a game that is almost a perfect copy of this world was the work of an unknown entity. None of them were dumb enough to believe that it was simply coincidence or the power of fate...even Duncan not.
If there was a main suspect it would be Earth´s god. One that reincarnated Orion's soul and created Ciel,
The existence of a mysterious being that is slowly pulling strings was annoying, but for now, they couldn´t do anything.
"Now I get it! Do you think that reason for clones and for resetting the world was just part of the ritual?"Surprisingly it was Cerys that was first to realize the meaning behind the words of her sister.
Duncan, Orion, and even her own angel were looking at her as if she was that one dumb kid, that is useless in every subject in school but suddenly got an A in math.
"Just like Cerys said, If events that happened in the game are repeatedly happening in our world every cycle, it would mean millions of people are dying in the span of these 20 years,"
Evil organizations started baring their fangs, wars broke up one after another, monsters that could destroy countries appeared, plagues that affected whole civilizations, and millions and millions of deaths were an integral part of the game. Using these events, characters could create bonds in life-and-death scenarios and protagonists could get opportunities to conquer her capture targets in ways far more unique than classic high school dating games. It also strengthened the RPG part of the game which was absolute bullshit without any consistency in the strength of opponents and stats /level whatsoever.
"That would answer the question of why he chose this era for the Time Loop, Its is more convenient to put one period of time in a constant loop where there are millions of deaths in a short amount of time than to wait for it to happened over the span of thousands of years, but do you have any idea what ritual need so many deaths?"Orion nodded in understanding as he realized how smart Sariel must be to be able to come up with a plan like this. It was more than possible he was one that artificially created some of the conflicts in this world,

"No, but this is not the first time it happened, The great mythical war, was something he created to amass death and corrosion."

"Then what about clones?"This time it was Duncan who asked. As the god of battle, Strategy is just another part of wars and battles which are under his authority. Even if he is not that good at reading and predicting people like his big sister Dalia or master at manipulating others like his disciple Orion who has a clear gift for it, he is still a great tactician who understands the battlefield more than any general. Because of that, he was curious about what part are Time Shadows playing in this big game.
Dalia moved her hand gently and pointed at the seat with a black-haired boy that was now enjoying the dessert he created for himself, Tiramisu, All others focused their attention on him including Duncan who was expecting an answer.
"Six people that are called heroes...no matter which route always by side of the protagonist, never dying and at the center of chaos...Six clones of god that are hiding in backgrounds, I don´t know much about rituals but if it's similar to divine arts you taught me
Wouldn´t he need in that case someone to overlook the process of ritual from close? What would be a better place to hide than the front row of the show?"After explaining Orion returned his attention to his plate, leaving Duncan, Cerys, and Uriel in awe at the sight of his amazing deduction ability.
