Every mortal being has an end. Which is why the Holy Bible starts with the Genesis of time, which includes the creation of time and the universe with everything therein, and the same Bible ends with the Revelations of all things, which means the end of all things.
Have you ever lost someone so dear to you before? How did you feel when it happened? Devastated and demoralized, right? The thoughts of not seeing them again for the rest of your life on earth alone, could even make you see no reason why you should keep living.
We can't stand the pain of losing our loved ones, it is so heartbreaking and unbearable. Yet we are still so careless about how we live. Why are we reluctant concerning what we've got to put right? Why do we live like we've got more than one life; like what we see would last forever, and like the earth would keep rotating and revolving smoothly around us without an end?
When you carefully observe what's happening right now, you would understand that the universe is degenerating; and the earth is deteriorating: the sun is degrading, the moon is diminishing, climates are delaminating, and humans are deviating.
Now, the existence of earth and the firmaments are for the purpose and benefit of man. In other words, were it not because of God's intention to create man, there wouldn't be need for the earth, and sky, and the firmaments to be created in the first place. Therefore, the key to making this same universe safe and sanctified is right in the hand of man. Yes, the deception of the devil brought about all the evil, but it never changes the fact that man can undo all of the disastrous things caused by the influence of the devil, if only he truly recognizes the Creator of life and all things.
I believe you have heard that heaven and earth would pass away, but the Word spoken by God would remain for ever. Ages ago, the world never used to be this disgusting and damning. It used to be less of diseases with misfortunes, and more of peace, understanding and genuineness. Sooner, everything started changing, and life became tougher and rougher as a result of increase in iniquities. God eventually will bring an end to all of those.
The creation of the universe brought about the existence of time, and the existence of time, shows there will be an end of the universe as well. It doesn't matter how long it takes, but the fact still remains, the end is sure, and it is near. This earth was made for man, that he should live in it, dominate and replenish it. Now, this man who is supposed to remain in the earth (as originally planned) has an end on earth: he's born, he grows through childhood and adulthood, then he gets old and dies. If he, who the earth was created for, could die, why do you think the earth itself would remain without dying some day?
Life is so complicated, isn't it? So much pain and ache. We don't get to keep what we so much work hard for. We don't even live long enough to enjoy to the fullest what we struggle for. We fear about tomorrow, leaving today, not knowing that today could be the tomorrow we've always waited for.
The time is near, closer than how it seems. But knowledge keeps increasing and people keep grooving to the fun of life like it's not gonna end. They live so recklessly and they justify their actions with the fact that life is short. So they say, "Let's live this moment to the fullest, 'cause that's all we've got. Tomorrow isn't in our hands, and so, why should we worry about it? We will face it when it comes." You've got to be kidding me! Shouldn't we be more careful about tomorrow by living right today, since we've got no idea what it holds, or whether today was the tomorrow - our last? Don't think I have forgotten what Christ said about tomorrow in Matthew 6:34. He said we shouldn't think about tomorrow, 'cause it would take care of itself. However, He never said we should live carelessly today, since tomorrow would take care of itself.
Let's see a portion in the introduction to the Book of Revelation To John, verse 3 of Chapter 1: "Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand."
Take a careful note of '... the time is at hand.'
Humanity has lost it. People seem to easily forget that the life they've got is like a cellphone battery. It becomes weaker as you make use of it, and eventually, it dies. But unlike the cellphone battery, when humanity ceases to possess power (life) it can never be revived or recovered. Another phase would be unveiled. This time around, it would be a timeless existence of the human soul in eternity.
