Espen went to open the door when the doctor arrived. He was accompanied by two assistants who had an intravenous perfusion system.
Espen led them to Cillian's room. Lucas stood by the side as the doctor auscultated him, scanning Cillian's body and frowning.
The doctor instructed his assistants to perfuse each of Cillian's arms. He grabbed a sedative and injected it, causing Cillian to fall asleep immediately.
The doctor walked over to Espen, and Lucas approached nervously. The doctor said, "He's been up for the past four days without eating food or taking his medication. He urgently needed sleep and parenteral feeding to receive the nutrients, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals he desperately needs. The second IV has his medication in it. He should be better when he wakes up. I'll come back tomorrow morning to check on him."
