Chapter 6 - First lesson

As soon as Sara released her grip on Dorian, the system shocked him, causing him to tumble to the ground. Dorian was shaking and lying on the floor while laughing at the system.

"If this keeps up, there's a chance that I'll start to love it!"

[Be quiet, you filthy animal!]

Sara was perplexed after smelling the charred remains of Dorian's skin. She then became aware of the smoke emanating from him and immediately summoned the staff members to attend to the situation.

"There's a fire going on here; please bring water!"

Dorian stayed in the same position and proceeded to mock the system.

"Do you not see what you have accomplished? She yelled for the servants to come."

[It's all because of you!]

Dorian rose as his skin began to mend very fast, and he requested Sara to notify the servants that the warning had been a false alarm.

"Could you please reassure them that everything is in order? I don't want anyone to know about my mystical awakening,"

"Okay."

Once more, Sara shouted at the servants, telling them to return to their posts. While this was going on, Dorian was rummaging through the books and came across a mythology book. He discovered a few pages explaining god's existence within the text, and he started reading those pages. The system only paid attention to one sentence.

[For a person to become a god, they must first attain the pinnacle of magical mastery in one of the elements. However, to do this, they must entirely stifle their emotions.] If they are successful, then that individual has a chance to amass divine energy and become everlasting. This opportunity exists only if they are successful. However, just because a person becomes immortal does not mean that they have automatically transformed into a deity. The following actions have not been determined.]

The system concluded that she was suppressing Dorian's emotions to transform a person into a divinity. As a result, she turned Dorian's mental state into one that was unstable. Her mood darkened due to this understanding, but Dorian knew it and shook his head.

"Don't worry about it, and we'll work out a solution together. I am quite aware that you did not intend for me to do this."

As Dorian continued to read the book, he gave a kind grin. He was aware that the system was unable to have this knowledge. A somewhat lowered moral code is okay by him if that's what it takes for him to achieve his goal of becoming a god. Besides, he didn't hold it against her.

[You mean it?]

The system was in a bad mood, and if she had a body at the moment, we could almost guarantee that she would be crying. It was especially bothersome to her at this time because she had repressed Dorian's feelings.

"Yes, we'll find a way to fix me."

During this time, Sara turned her attention to Dorian, who, in her view, was muttering to himself. She poured another glass of wine for herself and then went and sat down at the desk. Her head was swimming with ideas, and the overwhelming majority of those thoughts focused on Dorian's current predicament. Dorian's memories were on her mind, and she wondered whether there was any way to bring them back. She took another sip from the glass, but it was not for her use this time. "

"Have you ever tasted liquor?"

"Stupid."

Dorian openly mocked her intelligence due to her question concerning whether or not he had ever used alcoholic beverages. Dorian recalls that in a past existence, he was a drinker, but he is unaware of whether or not the first Dorian who lived on this planet ever consumed alcohol.

Oh, you're correct. Apologies, Dorian."

"haha! Please don't be anxious about it. Oh my goodness, what is this!?

A particular book piqued Dorian's curiosity; it was a guide for novices to the art of using magic. Dorian turned the book over and read the first page with great attention. The first spell he learned was how to call forth a raging inferno. The magic split up into low-level fire immunity and fire conjuration.

"So even if I create a fireball, it won't render me immune to its effects, right? First of all, I have to cast a protection spell so I won't get hurt by my magic."

Sara nodded in agreement. She got to her feet and offered Dorian a drink of wine before standing back down. Then she indicated a specific sentence by pointing her finger at it.

"Yes, have a look at this? When using magic, it is not difficult to conjure up powerful flames, yet, it is far more challenging to protect oneself from being injured by those flames. "

While the system was taking in Sara's explanation, it concluded that it should also provide some hints.

[Right now, you have 13 mana stat points, which is rough twice as much as a typical individual has available to them. On the other hand, this is not even close to being sufficient for you to be able to cast powerful protective spells. Your body can withstand a lot of strain, which is fortunate because the conjuring of elemental spells does not need a lot of effort. You can take the harm from employing more powerful flames simply by having a sloth's passive skill.]

"Really?"

[Yes. However, I beg you not to overestimate your capacity for healing. Once you have reached complete and total rest, you are free to act in any way. But until then, my recommendation is that you methodically increase the number of stat points associated with your mana. In addition to that, you need to conjure fire or electricity for this to operate. You won't control its appearance, so don't bother trying to make fire or electrical balls with it. ]

After Dorian realized a gap in his knowledge of conjuring ingredients, he broke into a grin, stepped over to Sara, and grabbed her hands. Although this caused Sara to blush, she did not appear to oppose the action taken. Dorian then approached her with a request for a favor.

"My lady, if you could be so kind, would you kindly teach me magic?"
