Chapter 20 - greek star conspiracy

"Hi, my name is Tsuji Michi. I used to be the chief of a small isolated village, I was the last of my generation. It was... uncomfortable, after the last of my cohorts died. I felt empty, I was the wisest in my village. But I had no one to truely talk to, I advised many of the youth through my days but still felt empty.

Until a middle-aged man entered the village through a merchant that came to the village once or twice a year, after talking with the merchant I figured out that he was a veteran that wanted to hide away in a remote corner. Away from the chaos that is war, he was appearantly not someone the shogun wants to have in retirement. I had no idea why the shogun was like that, but I was quickly notified the reason.

He was able to kill a bear on his own, it didn't even take traps or poison. It died by his bare fists, the reason behind the shogun's greed was; an innate enhancement of chakra. He had it since birth and had no idea how to use it, it's a condition that happens rarely but there are quite a few generals and elites that have it.

I didn't really understand chakra, all I thought about when I heard it was 'Chakra, isn't that a ninja thing?' I was amazed and instantly asked if he was a ninja, getting a response about how he couldn't teach us anything about that. It was dissapointing, but I assigned him as the captain of the watch and went back to my old routine.

One day I was having a bad time, the hunt last week was unlucky and we had to ration out our reserves. Everyone blamed it on me for telling a bad spot for the traps, and I went to the bar to drink my problems away, like the ol' days.

One thing turned into another, the veteran I ignored turned into a good friend. I had no idea how it happened, but that was the result.

He was a good friend, we joked and complained about out lives every month. But that all went down the drain a year ago." An old man explained to a younger one, the younger seemed to be in his early twenties.

The younger was with his team of three, the other two seemed bored and impatient. While the leader of the three seemed annoyed but patient.

The old man picked up on it and sped up past another few paragraphs "in short; The village was attacked by weird creatures that have been sighted back at the divine tree incident, and I was knocked out by a cloaked figure for experiments. Losing my arm, kidney, and was subjected to various other things."

The leader of the three nodded and looked at the other two a guy and a girl, and asked in a monotone voice "Did you hear what he said?" Both looked away, as if guilty. The leader sighed, this was why he was the leader of the three.

"Come on," He said "Follow me." He left a tip for the old man and left the shack, After an hour or two of running they changed terrain from land to sea, then back to land.

When the moon was almost in its highest point, the leader saw the temple but the others couldn't. The leader paused, recognizing the architecture and statues. He muttered silently "What?.. How could..."

The girl heard it and stopped too "Are you alright, Zuzuki?" She asked worried for the leader, the guy stopped a bit later and said "Yea." In accordance with his childhood crush.

Zuzuki waved it off "It's just that," He said "It's time to disclose the mission."

The girl cheered relieved "Finally, now, what is it? Come on, say it already!" She was pent up from stopping herself from asking at all moments.

he cleared his throat "This is a mission from the village," He said "I'm sure you've heard of the rumours of the starlight sanctuary?" After getting conformation, he continued "Well the part about having a hot and steamy night with a spirit or the like is complete garbage." This saddened the girl a lot, and Zuzuki gave her a few seconds to process this tragic information.

After which he coughed again to get her attention "The village was informed by an anonamous individual," He said calmly "The message said that someone was going to do something 'of interest' in an ancient ruin a bit north from here. And they said that, and I quote 'You people would probably want to see it, even if it isn't of importance, it'll be a magnificent display.' I won't be talking about the validity of the statements, just that we're supposed to watch what is going to happen from a far." He looked at both of them, seeing them nod in understandment he smiled 'At least they listen to what I say, I feel bad for that old man.' He thought.

The two of them looked at him in suprise, that's what he thought. When he looked behind him he saw a small silver light as if the sun originating from the ruins, after the shock subsided he said right away "let's go, right now."

Zuzuki Took no answer from them and moved immeadiately, this mysterious ruin put him on edge.

When he arrived close to the ruins, he saw a small crowd inside the ruins. The ruins were big and could easily hold many people, and it was built with architecture as if leading people to watch the show in the middle.

The show was a glowing, what Zuzuki correctly deduced as a western compass, it floated before a cloaked figure he could smell a small waft of blood radiating from.

The silver light got noticeably stronger over time, the girl looked up the the stars, seeing them stretch slightly, as if wanting to connect with the full moon above. Zuzuki noticed after following the girl's gaze, that the half moon he remembered a minute ago turned into a full moon.

When Zuzuki looked back at the person in a cloak, the compass had raised even higher into the sky. The cloaked figure had his arm stretched out with his hand grasping in the air directed at the compass which had already become hidden in the miniture sun it had become.

He felt the wind try to fill a vacuum, there just so happened to be a vacuum of nature energy but not of air by the compass, giving an effect of strong winds instead of a real vacuum. But it still felt like it in the deepest recesses of him mind.

The cloaked figure's arm started to strain, but the person made up for it with another arm snapping into position. The girl looked even more amazed, as such Zuzuki looked upwards again.

The full moon had shrunk to a smaller size, turning completely white with no craters in sight. The previously stretched out stars were circling and getting absorbed slowly in a spiral pattern as if captured in a whirlpool.

With every star the moon became even more radiant, until it became a miniture silver sun like the compass who had its light become even larger.

And then a droplet of a silver moon-sun thing manifested and dropped from the heavens, onto the shining compass. Resulting in an explosion of silver and blue light, making the cloaked figure drop onto one of his knees, you could see the hot air of his expiration.

The sound of the compass falling onto the stone floor resounded, and none of the 'audiance' tried to steal it. Who knows what sorcery or curse was just put on it?

The cloaked figure laughed and picked it up after some difficulty, and flipped it in the air "I hope my lucky audiance enjoyed the show. But I must go now, my people need me!" And he dissapated into a silver fog, the compass just straight-up dissapearing, and the cloak to to mysteriously be replaced with a black one with a silver star on it before also dissapating into a silver fog.

Zuzuki Looked around in a panic and saw no signs of where the cloaked figure went, the girl heard a mysterious mutter "Really?.. My people need me."

The girl who had a crush on Zuzuki, asked worried for him "Are you okay?" All she got in response was a half-hearted nod, they had the confidence to by loud because the crowd had dispursed after finding out there wasn't a hot and steamy night. Seamingly no other hidden village had believed or recieved the informant's info, giving them time to investigate the ruins.

Zuzuki's findings were written in his report, but there was some things left out signified By ()

-The ancient ruins are made mostly of marble and some other missilanious types of rocks, it's architecture is foreign and seems unrelated to our arcitecture. (It was greek.)

-The statues are also made of marble, the statues become more refined and proficiently made in the north. all muscles, tendons and expressions are correct for the humans, but the animals are less so. In some statues there are combinations of animals, there is a star indent on every statue. (In the eyes or somewhere else on the head at most times, while it is on another place if it is of importance.)

- a lot of pillars and other types of arcitecture had foursided star indents (There was a message on one of them saying 'greek power!' or 'ギリシャパワー!' if you copy over what was actually written)

-The entire ruin has a theme of stars and the moon, when looking from the middle point patterns inside the architecture form star with a weird pattern above it. (It's a crown.)

- could not find traces of cloaked figure's escape.

Zuzuki Rolled up the scroll, and threw it to the guy. He catched it easily, and listened to the words flowing into his ears "Write down what happened here, about 20 minutes from here south."

Zuzuki looked at the girl that has been walking around in amazement for the last few minutes, and called to her "Takata! You follow him, I don't want him losing the scroll. I'll look around a bit more..." His face darkened and he walked somewhere in the ruins.

She didn't ask questions, she was used to it. all she said to the pushover "What are you waiting for? Go!" She didn't wait for him and rushed south at the previous speed used to arrive.

When he saw them run over the horizen his expression imeadiatly changed, and he walked towards the center of the ruins. Writing '#thepleiadesarecringe' and 'Zeus is numba 1', the pleiades being a group of greek gods to do with a constellation.

He quickly left, running after the other two.

A minute or two later the cloaked figure reappeared and saw the writings, he disposed of them and returned his great master piece to its original glory. You could hear him say "Seems like there's another, and with normie tastes. But with some greek knowledge."
