Ruby never felt like a thief as she carefully slid off from the bed without waking up Adelard in the process. As soon as she was free from his arm, she hurriedly collected her clothes everywhere and rapidly slid into them.
She saw herself in the mirror and saw her hair in complete disarray. When she spotted a bucket hat, she dashed for it and wore it over her head. She went to the door, opened it carefully and closed it when she got out from the room.
When she was about to bolt into running, she stopped on her track when she came face to face with Franco, holding his coffee drapped with his robe.
"Pretend you didn't see me." Ruby said and quickly dashed passed by him.
Franco stood there frozen for few second, trying to process if what he saw just took place right before his eyes. Last night, he got in late after doing something outside, he saw the mess in the kitchen, the empty bottle of sojus, and empty plate.
