"I know many things," Darius replied.
Talisa frowned because Darius's answer didn't answer her question at all. Darius didn't give any explanation after that, he just continued to eat his lunch, as if nothing had happened. Talisa was very curious, but Darius' cold aura made her afraid to ask further. Talisa knew that Darius was a very dangerous man, so she decided to keep quiet and not continue her questioning.
In her heart, Talisa wondered what was Darius' secret. Is Darius some kind of vampire who never ages? That he is much older than he looks? Countless thoughts flashed through Talisa's brain at this time and none of them calmed her down. Even though Darius is very handsome, Talisa has seen how he kills, without feeling, without expression. It was terrifying. Talisa swallowed hard at the memory.
"Quickly finish your meal, then go and take a rest," Darius said after a while.
"Darius..." Talisa called. The name was still strange to Talisa's lips, but her heart trembled when she said it.
"What?" asked the man, his cold gaze returned to Talisa's eyeballs.
"Can't I go back to my flat?" Talisa asked.
"You are stupid. You step your foot out of this place, I will kill you. Even if I didn't, George's men would. Because I'm still kind enough to let you live, you shouldn't mess around," said Darius.
"T-tell me, what do you want from me?" Talisa asked.
Talisa wasn't sure that the motivation of the man in front of her was just as simple as wanting to maintain world peace. She couldn't believe there was such a straight-minded man in this world. After seeing for herself how harsh and cruel the world was in her whole life, it seemed impossible for a man like Darius to exist.
"I already said it. Don't tell me you're too stupid to understand," Darius replied. Darius looked at Talisa and noticed that she was looking at him with dark green eyes like the color of a forest at night. Her earthy brown hair flowed gently past her shoulders. Her tan skin shone in the light of the crystal chandelier hanging in the center of the dining room. However, Darius' heart was dead. He did not feel anything, no matter how beautiful Talisa is. Even though Darius had touched her beautiful body, his heart was not moved in the slightest.
Talisa snorted in annoyance now.
"Stop calling me stupid!" she exclaimed.
"Then you should stop acting stupid. Now go back to your room and rest. Trust me, you need a lot of rest," said Darius when he saw Talisa had finished eating her dessert. His tone was cold and annoying to Talisa.
Talisa's fear gradually turned into annoyance because of Darius's attitude, especially because he often called Talisa stupid. Moreover, Talisa was annoyed that the man carelessly touched her body, even though yes… it was to save Talisa's life. She was confused why Darius' touch could make her body react like that? Why not another way? However, she was too lazy to ask Darius again, so Talisa immediately got up, and without saying anything she immediately left the dining room and returned to the room she had just occupied.
Talisa slammed the door hard enough, enough to let Darius know that Talisa was very upset. Talisa no longer cares what Darius will do to her, because if he wanted to harm Talisa, Darius would have done it before. Talisa loses her freedom in just a few hours and that frustrates her. Talisa didn't have anything in this world, but she didn't want to be locked up in a luxurious house with a stranger.
Darius let Talisa slam the bedroom door without doing anything. He just stared straight ahead while sipping his hot tea, expressionless. Darius knows, Talisa is not stupid, maybe even she can already guess that Darius keeps many secrets that he will not reveal to anyone. For now, the most important thing is that Talisa is safe with him.
Meanwhile, Talisa glanced at the clock on the wall hanging in her room. It's two o'clock in the afternoon. That means, Talisa had slept all night, but somehow she felt very tired. Talisa took off her robe and in annoyance realized that her thin nightgown was indeed very comfortable to sleep in the summer like this. She can sleep comfortably without the need for air conditioning. Talisa was annoyed because what Darius said was true.
Talisa snorted as she plopped down on the bed. The man who repeatedly called her stupid had touched her whole body on this bed. The thought made Talisa irritated but also palpitated. Talisa cursed herself. She shouldn't be pounding for a man as annoying as Darius.
She didn't know how long it took until she finally fell asleep. She had never felt this tired in her life. At first, Talisa slept without dreams, but after a long time she fell asleep, Talisa began to feel something strange. She was restless in her sleep so that her hands gripped the sheet as if something was going to pull her off the bed.
An instant later, Talisa felt something gripping her ankle. Talisa wanted to scream, but no sound came out of her mouth. The gripping hand pulled her so fast and strong, that Talisa didn't have time to see what was pulling her.
Talisa tried to hold on to the bed sheet firmly, but in vain, the sheet fell off and suddenly Talisa was in a completely different place. Talisa fell heavily onto the grassy ground. There was no one there, nor was there anything holding her feet. Talisa looked around in confusion, how could she have moved so quickly? The surroundings were not the luxurious rooms of Darius Edmund's house, but an open space with sparse trees.
"Hello!" Talisa exclaimed. Her voice could now come out as usual, but there was no answer.
Talisa started shaking. What's up now? Her eyes started to water because she was scared.
"Darius! Stop joking!" Talisa shouted again while walking to nowhere. Talisa doesn't know where to go now and it's empty here. She hugged himself because of the cold night air, even though Talisa remembered that it was still daylight when she fell asleep.
When Talisa was walking, suddenly there was the sound of footsteps behind her. Talisa's heart jumped with fear, she quickly turned around, but behind her, there was only a little girl who stared at her without saying anything.
"He-hey… Why are you here?" Talisa asked the little girl wearing a pink skirt. A matching ribbon is in her blonde hair. Talisa estimates, that she is not more than five years old.
"Help me..." she said in a low voice.
"Eh? Are you sick? Where is your mom?" Talisa asked starting to panic. She knelt in front of the little girl.
"Help me, Talisa Williams," she repeated. Her face showed neither fear nor pain. Now Talisa is the one who is scared and almost falls backward because the little girl suddenly knows her name.
At the same time, Talisa then found herself sitting on Darius' luxurious bed, in the room where she had taken a nap earlier. Her body was full of sweat. Talisa checked her surroundings; everything was still the same as before she fell asleep. The sheets did not come off the bed and were still neatly attached. Could it all be just a dream? Why does it feel so real? Talisa lowered her face and closed her eyes to calm herself. She took deep breaths to calm her beating heart.
"You turned out to be a future watcher too, Talisa," said Darius who suddenly appeared, making Talisa's efforts to calm down fail.
"Darius! You startled me!"
