It has been one month.
Ever since one month ago after the funeral for my older brother and best friend Leo, I haven't left my room for anything other than school and to eat. May I add very little to eat.
I can barely leave the the comfort of my own room without the reminder of my older brother. I would say I have a great support system but that would be a lie. I've been utterly alone.
The man I love, also known as my brother's best friend Tyler, now treats me as if I'm thin air. My best friend Alice is no different.
It hurts, the painful deadly silence.
It's so cold deadly silent as if it was winter all over again but it's spring. The beginning of spring. My brother died in winter, his favorite season at midnight as far as I know. That's what the police wrote on the paper. The police never found his body but they found his car off the Cliff on the outskirts of town.
He was young. Nineteen years old, only two years older that me. I can hardly stand the thought that he's gone but it's the truth. It's what they told me. All the pictures I've got around my room is faced down, with the painful reminders.
Music played through the speaker: I laugh at the irony as Leo's favorite song, When September end by Green Day, played through the sound waves in the air.
Another painful reminder, as my eyes grow heavy from the grief in my heart. The loneliness is all that consumes me through the silence….
