Eloise's POV:
"What are you doing here? I thought you'd be accompanying Lisa." I sized Atticus up, not knowing what he was thinking.
A car drove past us and almost hit me, but it quickly left. It was as if they had some grudge against me.
This was too strange.
Both Atticus and Chasel pulled me behind them. This made me feel even more awkward. I coughed and quickly left the two of them.
I'd imagined many scenarios when we met again, including the possibility that he might pick some terms in our agreement to argue with me. To my surprise, he was still absolutely calm.
He even looked a little sad, but I didn't know why. I could only assume that it had something to do with Lisa.
At the same time, Lisa stuck her head out the window to look at me. She didn't understand why I said that and kept looking at me with a strange gaze.
