Chapter 4 - Confrontation Between Sisters

Eloise's POV:

"Ma'am, Alpha asked me to take you to Earl's Hill Courtyard." Jude looked at her phone.

From the beginning, they only called me 'ma'am', and I was already very used to it. As for that place, it couldn't be any more desolate. I could tell that Atticus didn't want to see me again.

"In addition, Alpha hopes you will take care of yourself and recover to the point where you don't need to use drugs anymore."

Of course, for his Lisa, I understood. My heart felt like it was being torn apart.

The effects of the medicine faded, and my bones felt like they were crushed. It was so painful that I couldn't answer him. I could only lean against the car door and breathe hard. I needed to think of a way to escape from here as soon as possible.

Even though I had an agreement with Atticus, I could still resist his orders and leave if I had enough money for the penalty. Except, I couldn't afford the penalty right now.

Most of the werewolves now lived in the human world, and our pack was like a family in the human world. An Alpha like Atticus would also be the CEO of his family business.

If I wanted to develop, I had to avoid them. So I was using a fake name to continue my design activities. I should have left the pack a few years ago, but I had to live in the pack to get closer to Atticus.

However, none of that was important now.

When he gave the order to draw out such a large amount of blood from my body, I was already disappointed in him. He had never been as wonderful as I thought. He only showed me his true flaws.

I thought of the emails I sent out secretly. As long as there was a response from one of them, I still had hope.

"This isn't the way out of the city." I looked out the window.

"Yes, change in plans. Alpha wants to send you there personally. So you have to go to Hil Tower first." Jude turned around.

Why would he want to see me there? He should hope that I was as far away as possible.

Even though I was Atticus' wife in name, I'd never gone to his office. So everything here was completely foreign to me.

I knew that their pack held quite a lot of assets in the human world, so I was not surprised by what I saw. I found a seat in the waiting area and sat down quietly.

"The Alpha is busy. You have to wait a moment." A girl in business attire stopped me.

"Of course, I understand," I said with a smile.

I had no value to him other than my blood. I was very clear about this.

Atticus and Lisa got out of their luxury car and slowly walked into the hall. Everyone's gaze was focused on them.

"Although the Alpha never said anything, we think he'll marry that lady." The girl standing at a distance from me held her face. Her eyes seemed to be filled with stars.

"She will be an excellent Luna."

"But the Alpha has gone through an unpleasant experience, so he must be very cautious."

That 'unpleasant experience' must be our marriage. Although he still acted like a bachelor, there would be rumors about me. In that story, I must be an evil woman who seduced someone else's fiancé.

"Of course." I lowered the brim of my hat, sincerely hoping that they wouldn't recognize me. That would be too troublesome.

When Lisa met my eyes, I knew that the worst situation would happen.

"Eloise? My dear sister!" Lisa walked up to me. She grabbed my hand warmly and pulled me into her arms.

"Don't even think about doing anything to her. You know the consequences." Atticus mouthed to me from behind her.

"Let's talk in the office."

The people around us started to notice us. When Lisa called me 'sister', everyone knew I was the despicable woman pestering Atticus.

"Eloise, you make me feel the calmest. I haven't been sleeping well recently, and I keep thinking about the times when we lived together." Lisa's strength was no less than mine.

In the past, I thought so too. I felt that our relationship was very good. I always treated her as a little sister that I need to protect.

But now I realized she was not that simple because if she claimed she was not feeling well, Atticus would make me draw my blood for her.

I didn't want to live like this anymore. Never again.

"Maybe you should drink a glass of milk before you go to bed." I patted her back.

I could feel that Atticus was already staring at me.

"After all, if you don't sleep well, it's very likely that you'll be in a trance. I could feel it from the voice note you sent me..."

She suddenly froze, and then she twisted my arm hard.

"What voice note?" Atticus asked.

"Lisa?"
