Atticus' POV:
I put down the phone and turned around.
When the time was up, everything was over. I returned to the party to deal with some things I had to do. It was at this moment that I saw Soren.
Even though he had a smile on his face, he was also keeping a distance from Page. But at the same time, she didn't seem to be embarrassed by this. In fact, she even took a step forward.
Her stubbornness might have touched many people, but it would never include Soren. The moment our eyes met, he walked toward me.
The alarm in my heart went off. He was bringing trouble to me, but I couldn't just walk away because I could tell that he had something to say.
"Good evening, Soren. What can I do for you?" I looked at him warily. Page was right behind us, and she was staring at us with eyes as sharp as needles.
