Eloise's POV:
The employees quickly rushed over to us.
They first apologized to us, then checked the decorations. It seemed that every single one of them was extremely sturdy.
Except for the mirror.
"That's strange. The joint here has been weakened by something," one of them said in surprise. Then, he turned to me.
"It was supposed to be a piece of solid steel, but someone sawed it off."
"This isn't a good sign." My wolf sighed.
Atticus was approaching me. He seemed to want me to lean on his shoulder because he was reaching out with his hand. However, I didn't want to do that. Showing my weakness was unnecessary, so I waved dismissively at him.
"I'm going to check the surveillance cameras," I said as I looked at him.
He had also noticed this because he was looking at the camera on the wall.
