Atticus' POV:
Although I wanted to reject the mate connection with Eloise, she sounded very dissatisfied with me right now.
Why would she think of me this way? She was the one who had done something unforgivable before.
"I've never lied to anyone. I promise you as an Alpha." I looked at her and said seriously.
"Why did you tell her this... ? She won't believe it," my wolf sneered.
"Judging from her expression, she's already hurt. She won't believe you so easily."
Just as my wolf spoke, she looked at me with a complicated expression and sighed.
"Alright, what do you need me to do?"
She finally stopped being calculative about these things.
Jude handed her a stack of documents.
It was an event I was going to participate in next. The Stone Pack's Alpha's son was about to come of age, and all pack Alphas were invited to attend this dinner.
