Eloise's POV:
Even though Chloe couldn't hear my conversation from where she was, she could see my expression. Then, after realizing I had settled down, she sat quietly and looked at me nervously.
I waved my hand, indicating for her to remain calm.
In the past, I had never really met Atticus' mother. We only respectfully called her 'Luna' from the Hil Pack. And now, she was calling me so casually.
I didn't know what she would say, but I knew it'd bring me bad news.
Based on my understanding of her, she had never been a kind person. Otherwise, she wouldn't have forced her son like that.
But even so, she still made some small talk with me. It included the news that she had heard about the accident that happened to me two days ago.
