I felt at ease while falling toward to ocean. The wind was nice and refreshing, there was a slight hint of lavender in the air, and everything was peaceful. I felt at peace with everything, except the sound guards panicking above from the fact that I had fully jumped off a cliff.
Someone go after her! We need her alive, or it'll be the end of us.
With all of the bickering going on above, I tuned it out, but while doing so, I also tuned out the warnings from the nearby fishers. Then, crash! I felt sharp pains in my head and left leg just as I hit the water. Then, finally, the realization of what the anglers were saying hit me; they were yelling to open my eyes and look down at the fast-approaching rocks.
I could feel the coldness of the water as I tried swimming back to the surface, but I was in too much pain to keep trying; I was running out of air, I could feel my eyes start to close, and tiredness was beginning to take over my body due to my head injury. Everything was going dark, and I was all alone; although that was my fault, it still felt empty and lonely, not having anyone to come to the rescue this time.
The effects of my injuries were taking over at this point, I was exhausted from fighting the current and the waves, and the only thing I could think of doing was submit to the fate I had chosen. I released what little air I had left and took in a large sum of the ocean's water. It rushed in and down into my lungs. I could feel myself slowly drowning, but before I had entirely drowned, I felt a pair of arms around my waist and the feeling of getting pulled up. As this mysterious person was saving my life, I could feel I was losing consciousness. Everything went black, and I couldn't feel what was happening anymore.

"Mother, Look! It's a group of dolphins!" the little girl spoke as she ran over to her mother with a huge smile. The girl tugged her mother's arm, brought her to the boat's edge, and pointed toward the jumping dolphins.
"Yes, my love, they are so beautiful, but you, darling, all the boys will be lining up at your door when you grow up. With saying that, she picked up her daughter, hugged her and looked back at the sea creatures.
Everything was peaceful and wonderful; everything seemed right in the world until BOOM! The sounds of canons were going off from the left side of the ship, BOOM! CRASH! Two more had gone off, one of which had hit the boat. "Mommy, what's happening?" The little girl cried.
"Load the cannons! Fire Back! This is not a drill; we're under attack!" the Captian yelled down at our ship's crew.
I remember parts of this happening; it's like I'm reliving this memory but with the extra details that I never got to see and the ones that I had forgotten about due to the pain they had caused.
A few seconds later, a man came rushing towards mother and me, "we need to get you two to safety," he said in a firm tone.
"Protect her at all costs; she is the key to having a peaceful future for the kingdom. I will fight alongside my husband. Just get her far, far away from here." Mother spoke as she handed me to the guard. I had no clue what she meant by that, but there was no time to think about it. As he ran, I saw mother, father and the other ship. Both father and mother had swords and were fighting off people who looked like they had been at sea for an extended period, and the flag on the ship was black with a skull and cross bones. I didn't know what it meant at the moment, but I learned quickly to be scared of what was happening around me.
As the lifeboat started to lower, my father jumped aboard; he held me close, hoping to cover my eyes and shield me from all the bloodshed. The small boat was almost entirely past the edge of the ship when I saw the most horrible thing a child could see, a woman in raggedy clothing had my mother pined on the deck with a sword a few inches away from her heart.
I couldn't hear what they were saying, but I could see the woman getting even more pissed off than before; the next thing I knew, the sword was in my mother's chest. I could feel the tears streaming down my face as I held onto my father tighter than before, I had just witnessed my mother's death, and there was nothing I could do about it.
Once the boat hit the water, we started speeding off in hopes of escaping these people. But instead, all I could feel was sadness and hatred for these people.

"She is still breathing; get her up and bring her below deck." A woman said. There were a bunch of voices around me, but I couldn't move or speak; it was like I was there but also not at the same time.
Had I been saved? Who had saved me? Where was I? those and a few other questions were running through my head, but I couldn't get any answers till I was 'awake.' By the sounds of my surroundings, everyone was panicking but calm cause of the female voice I heard the most; from the little information I'd gathered, she was the captain of this ship, and everyone knew not the question anything that she said.
"She is waking up," a person yelled towards the upper deck.
The dim lights in the cabin were bright as I slowly opened my eyes, the smell of the sea was strong, and the place I was in was surprisingly lovely looking from what I saw before I got interrupted by a woman sitting right in front of me.
We sat there staring at one another for what felt like forever before she spoke first, "So, How come you jumped off that cliff? Were you running from the royal guard? Or were you being reckless and trying to end things? By the way, what's up with that crown on your head? We tried taking it off to attend to your injuries, but it won't budge."
She was asking many more questions, but I couldn't keep up, she looked so familiar, but I couldn't put my finger on where I'd seen her before. No matter how hard I tried, no answer was coming to me, but the feeling that id seen her wouldn't go away.
From all the information I have received from her, the main thing that stuck out was her name, Evie. I had no clue why, but it was adorable and suited her very well, but deep down, it felt like I heard it in a warning.
