Lilith Noticed that the Elemental particles were behaving in an erratic manner around Axel, in a way similar to what she had seen with The Blood Monarch. Still, the extent of this erratic behaviour surprised her.
For her friend, certain elements favoured him, while the others detested his presence. But for Axel, the situation was more peculiar. For a moment, all the elements seemed to be attracted to Axel as a moth is attracted to flames. All particles rushed to get close to him, but soon upon nearing him, they immediately dispersed.
As if nearing him, they got scared for some reason and scattered to save themselves (an analogy in Lilith's mind). Thus, for a moment, the elemental concentration near Axel grew, but suddenly there was a void of elemental particles near him. And this phenomenon continued again and again.
Lilith did not understand this phenomenon but was sure that the boy in front of her was a monarch candidate and the element that would belong to him would be a very special one. So a plan hatched in her mind where she was ready to sacrifice all her energy collected throughout the years to obtain a vital chess piece in this grand struggle for power.
Lilith revealed herself to Axel and was unbothered by Gizmo's presence, as she knew very well the limits of such a bioengineering device. Though she did not expect Gizmo's presence in a lower world, in front of true power, there was nothing Gizmo could have done anyway.
Lilith utilized the one-time artifact given to her by The Blood Monarch (a blood bead for dominion over other beings). She drafted a Soul Contract using her skills and then utilized the Blood Bead to finalize it.
To a third party, it might seem excessive on Lilith's part to use an overpowered, one-time-use artifact on someone like Axel, as even with the Soul Contract, Lilith could easily control Axel.
But to Lilith, these excessive measures were an investment for the future, as at some point in time after becoming the Monarch himself, Axel could find ways to bypass the Soul Contract.
But with the use of the Blood Bead, Axel, with time, would be completely brainwashed and under the absolute dominion of Lilith. Even if Axel somehow managed to erase the effects of the Blood Bead(in future), the time he would be under Lilith's control would be so great that it would be psychologically impossible for him to go against her.
Imagine yourself fulfilling every desire of someone because you want to, listening to every whim of theirs and basing your entire existence on their happiness.
Now imagine one fine day after years of repeated routine you coming to know that this has been all a ploy and you have been brainwashed. If this happens within a few years you are maybe able to resist and rebel but what if this happened for nearly a century?
Even the thought seems scary and this was precisely what Lilith was betting on. To have someone like Axel under her complete control would be a dream come true for her and she was ready to use everything at her disposal to make her wish come true (a dark and cunning wish indeed).
Lilith used her talents with the Blood element to draft a Soul Contract and then poured the contents of the Blood bead onto the Contract. Her only objective was to brainwash Axel into being her Slave.
The contract would have not only forced Axel to comply with Lilith's every wish but would have brainwashed him into a completely subservient Slave, thinking only for the benefit of his master.
And to seal the deal beyond any reasonable doubt Lilith poured a small amount of her own life essence into the contract which would ensure her goals.
Now all was done from her end and the time had come for Axel to sign the contract under the guise of a promised powerful skill. Axel and Gizmo both had their doubts regarding the contract but they were completely helpless against Lilith.
But at the time of Axel's need came forward his knight in shining armour, Kaelen Veridian. A soul produced by Axel's 1st primal skill- "Seven Star-Legend Creation".
Kael, a blood demon by nature and a universal linguist by profession (a forced profession) came to the rescue at a crucial time, guiding Gizmo on how to deal with the situation.
Kael after indirectly guiding Axel to loosen his control over his elemental essence used the energy gathered in Axel's core to change a few letters in the contract in a way that the contract itself remains indistinguishable to Lilith.
Lilith accounted for the small changes as the side effect of using the all-powerful Blood bead on the contract as the Demonic letters that she knew transformed a bit into something ancient and profound.
But what Kael had actually done was change the Master and the slave in the contract which would forcibly change Lilith into an obedient Slave of Axel (enforced by the blood bead).
After the formalities of Contract Signing Lilith came to know about what had transpired which shocked her to her core. More than the shock itself it was the humiliation that completely made her lose control, as a boy with an insignificant tool (Gizmo) had somehow outsmarted the prideful tactician of the Demons.
Lilith wanted to explode everything including herself within the vicinity as she knew the effects of the contract were irreversible, but before she could execute her plan, she was literally out of Juice.
As she lost the last bit of her collected energy the prison that imprisoned her did its job and hid her in the cold and lonely confines, where she banished.
With the events that unfolded Axel now had some unexpected gains in the form of a new helper (Kael), a new skill that was snatched from Lilith due to the contract and Lilith's own Blood essence.
Last but not least he procured for himself an all-powerful blood demoness as his personal slave (Though the contract would take some time to take effect on Lilith, on account of her level. Still she being out of energy and the blood bead working on her mentality would do wonders).
While Axel was thinking about what had transpired he was jolted awake by Gizmo's voice.
[Axel, you have inadvertently absorbed a fragment of Lilith's essence. The orb, it wasn't just a random energy transfer. It was a piece of her life essence, a remnant of her power] Axel frowned.
"A piece of what? But... isn't that dangerous? Won't it corrupt me?]".[Not necessarily. Lilith, despite her arrogance and ambition, was a being of immense power. That fragment, though tainted by her rage, also contains a raw, untamed power. It's like inheriting the legacy of a fallen star]
