The military vehicle pulled over at the entrance to Detective Sleuth's apartment. Lieutenant Commander Orenn got out and opened the passenger door for her. He helped her out of the car, then closed the door. She said goodbye then walked away from the vehicle and headed towards the entrance of her building.
Denise walked up the stairs and entered the first floor. She headed straight to her apartment and switched on the light switch.
The apartment was small and compact. It was furnished with a single bed, a desk and a chair. There was a kitchenette too, but it wasn't very well-equipped. There was only a microwave, a fridge, a sink and a countertop. A small window was placed on the wall next to the kitchen. It gave a decent view of the street.
She sat down on the bed and laid back. She was very exhausted. She closed her eyes and fell asleep instantly.
