"Sir that giant tree is falling down!" The pilot of the chopper informed Colonel Reeves via radio. "The tree is coming down towards the city!" he shouted through the earpiece of his helmet. "It's going to hit the military vehicles!" he continued.
The colonel was already aware of what was happening. He spoke through the radio to his men who were on the ground still firing explosives at the tree. The ground troops who were closest to the tree hadn't realized that tree was crashing until Reeves' order came in.
