The CCPD officers moved away from the retired school bus and followed the noise of the cries they were hearing. After walking about 57 feet, they came upon a convenience store; this place had taken damage from the rampaging monsters but fortunately, the walls and windows were intact—it appeared like people hadn't escaped yet. On their way in they noticed more destruction, most likely caused by the plants as well. Denise told her team to keep watch outside while she entered the building with her partner Rebecca to search for survivors.
