As soon as the coast was clear, Reeves called in his men to join him in the tent. One by one, the eight soldiers arrived to take up their posts behind their boss—one at each of the four corners of the tent where there was a huge lamp hanging from the ceiling casting its bright light upon the floor. All of them wore black uniforms with green stripes on their sleeves and pants like those used by police officers.
These soldiers weren't ordinary soldiers. They were actually Smoke Pac's minions in disguise. Colonel Reeves was only a generated persona that Smoke Pac duplicated from the real version after he secretly subdue him earlier on his way over.
After the final member of their party entered, Reeves ordered them to close the tent flaps. He cancelled his camouflage abilities and revealed his true face.
"Ah, much better." Smoke Pac was more comfortable showing his true self.
