"Xiaowan, Lin Lin is with you, right?"
The woman's voice on the other end of the phone was as gentle as water.
Ye Wan was startled for a moment, then quickly responded, "Yes, she came to Imperial City to visit me."
"Where is she now? Is she right beside you?"
Glancing at the time, it wasn't even eight o'clock yet.
Ye Wan said, "She's playing downstairs with Ye Cheng."
"Oh, that's good. I was wondering why her phone has been unreachable. As long as she's with you, it's fine. Have her call me back later; her dad is worried sick."
"Sure, I'll tell her later!"
Ye Wan agreed cheerfully, as though Tang Mulin really was with her.
The boarding announcement in her ears urged passengers to check in, but Tang Mulin's phone remained unanswered.
Ye Wan sighed and turned to look at Su Qingyan, who had been waiting for her quietly, "Qingyan, you go back first. I have some emergency to deal with."
"Alright, take care of yourself, and remember to contact me if you need anything."
