New Years Eve, 2038. The mission, kill the host of the evening Mr. John Parker.
The Parkers hosted a large gala every year. It was the talk of Beverly Hills. This year's party was again at the luxurious Greystone Mansion. A sprawling mansion with wide gates, there's a few hundred guests in attendance. Each guest is highly decorated in their finest clothes and jewels. Each guest dons a mask as they enter the grounds.
Mia wears a stunning deep green gown and a black cloak. She easily grabs a black lace mask as she enters the venue. Each movement, each thought, carefully calculated to the second. There can be no mistakes. Her heels click on the marble floor as she enters the bustling hall which then flows out into the garden. The guests are split between the ballroom and the garden. Her target should be just around the corner… She spots him surrounded by 3 or 4 women, each praising him for the wonderful party. It makes Mia want to gag at the scene. Her piercing green eyes catch his, and she turns away, letting her bright red hair catch his attention. She walks deeper into the garden, careful not to go too quickly lest she catch someone else's attention.
Her target, John Parker, quickly disengages himself from the group of women to chase the fiery redhead. He grins to himself. He has donned an animal mask for the event which he now covers his face with as he pursues her. Around the maze of hedges, he sees her red hair, and uses it as a beacon. After several minutes of pursuit, he is far from his guests and corners the lovely Mia by a fountain. She sits coyly on the edge, feigning shyness as he edges closer. He grins mischievously.
"My dear, you ran off so quickly. I almost thought you a red hare."
Mia doesn't speak, only pretends to blush and look away, letting him get closer. When he finally reaches her, she steals a kiss from him, and jabs a needle into the back of his neck. She holds him there until he can no longer make a sound. His lips turn blue and his eyes turn vacant. She carefully hides his body in the fountain and cleans her lips, removing the lipstick traces and putting on a different color. She glances at her watch on her left hand to check her time then smoothly filters back into the crowd. She counts her time. She has just 10 minutes to get out of there. She goes back through the crowds of people in the garden, then the mansion, and finally she is back out the door. Her watch vibrates when she is just 10 feet from the entrance and then a loud BOOM echoes from where she left the body in the fountain. Seconds later, 2 more bombs echo. People scream and the scene behind her is in chaos as the explosions get closer to the house itself. She expects there will likely be others hurt but unless someone was particularly unlucky, no other fatalities.
She carefully jumps on a motorcycle hidden in the shadows with no license plate and speeds off into the night and away from the devastation behind her. Her watch beeps after about 20 minutes on her bike.
*Mission Completed. Payment sent. Pleasure doing business with you.*
She smiles at the message and doesn't stop until she's an hour or two away, parking her bike behind some trees and pulling a change of clothes out of her bag on her motorcycle. She changes out of the gown and dons a pair of black skinny jeans and a dark leather corset top. She leaves the black heels on and lets her red hair fall out of its confined updo before finally tucking away her clothes into her bag and heading into a club.
She still had an hour to midnight and her plans were to find someone to celebrate her last mission with and start a new one. She wanted badly to settle down and have a baby but she had no intention of taking the man with her. She'd had enough of men wanting only one thing from her, loving and leaving but this time, she was going to choose the one that would produce the best child and she was going to love him and leave him. With any luck, she'd have a child in her belly when she left the place.
She pushed the door open to a lush club. The lights were dark, the music was loud, and the heat was scorching. *Lux, my old friend, I am here to party.* She thought. Lux was the name of the club and boy was it luxurious.
She strolled up to the bar and ordered a drink. A deep red wine. She sat at the bar with her back to the bartender and surveyed the room. She was going to pick the guy with the best genetics and go to town. Sure there were some cute guys, but no one caught her fancy immediately. Disappointment washed over her and she had to remind herself it was still early. Then, after about 15 minutes, she found her target.
Four large men in black suits came out of a back room. Two handsome men exited immediately after. One of them caught her eye. He had piercing green eyes and hair black as night. He was dressed in a nice suit and held himself like a boss.
She slowly made her way through the crowd to him. She caught his eye on the way and a smolder passed between them. The temperature in the club seemed to go from hellfire to inferno.
He appraised her form as she approached. The glint in his eyes told her he appreciated what he saw. She smiled coyly: Hey, I'm Red. "Up for a little end of the year celebration?"
He raised a brow at the name: "Your name is Red?"
She rolled her eyes: "Is that what you're fixated on? I'm out for some fun. Are you?" Her voice was silky with a hint of husky. He wasn't one to turn girls down, on the rare occasion they caught his watchful eye.
His voice was deep and seductive as he responded: "Right this way mlady."
She smiled and followed him into a room upstairs. She wasted no time in enjoying herself and he let her take the lead. Taking his time and enjoying it. They were in the throws of passion when the clock struck midnight, hitting a climax as they entered the new year. She fooled around with him for the night but woke early the next morning, just before dawn. Threw a few bills on the bed and got dressed, riding off into the sunrise.
