'Sage hasn't gone to see her yet?' Graeme asked wordlessly to his Beta, staring across the room at him in question. This was something he would have expected Sage to take care of as soon as he arrived. Sam shook his head slightly.
"I know it has been a long time," David said, filing the uneasy silence. "It's just that…"
"You don't have to explain," Graeme said, circling around his desk to sit heavily in the chair. "We all know what she went through. It was no easy thing. I don't want her to be carrying around that feeling—especially if she is helping you with pack security."
David pressed his lips together and nodded silently. He wished he could explain to them the attachment that his sister had that he could also sense.
"He won't be out by the perimeter. The alyko are with August strategizing their own way of building security," Graeme said. "They are thinking of building an additional perimeter if they can manage it."
