"Prince Grayson," Kat curtsied when he came striding down the hallway toward Cora's door.
"Good morning, Ekaterina," he said curtly before scanning her nervous form. She was fidgeting, and her eyes kept darting toward and away from the girl's door. "Is something wrong?"
He had come early to check on Cora and her mother in case there was a problem after the night they had had. Now that she had been compelled, he was worried to have someone like Dr. Wright looking in on her lest he notice the signs of it. But he would be the one they called if there was a problem, so Grayson had to arrive before that happened.
"Uh…" Kat began. She was interrupted by Cora's door opening and a frantic Penelope coming out.
"She won't wake up," she said, her pupils dilated in fear and her heart thrumming like a hummingbird in her chest.
