Finn was pacing back and forth in front of the room when August and Graeme found him.
"Finn, congratulations!" August hugged him, and his expression softened before turning back to the anxiety that was there when they walked up.
"Thanks Luna August. I got there in time." His eyebrows pinched upward.
"Why aren't you in there with her? What's wrong?"
"I didn't want to overwhelm her. I just… this is so much like Violet." He raked a hand through his hair. "Ever since that happened, I felt like I failed her. I failed you. I failed the pack."
"Finn…" August frowned, starting to object.
"I know how you feel. I know you don't blame me," he went on before she could say it. "But I haven't been able to shake it after all this time. It's stayed with me. And today, I felt like I was reliving it. I don't know what those wolves wanted with her."
