After speaking briefly with Graeme about what he had in mind for Eliade, Zane returned to the pack house where Grayson was. He guessed that the prince wasn't going to be returning with him to Gray Vale. He may not even wish to help him with the Eliade mission, but that meant there were a lot of details that they both needed to go over. The idea of suddenly being the de facto leader of Gray Vale and the one that the other eight realms looked to for guidance was… overwhelming, to say the least.
As fast as Zane was, Cora still beat him there. He shook his head with a smile, seeing her arm in arm with Theo on the main floor of the pack house speaking with Zagan and Penelope. Who knew that being an alyko would have advantages even over being a vampire? She could portal anywhere. That was not something he could do. He was limited to doors that had already been opened.
