Grayson lunged across the desk and tackled Zane, sending them both tumbling across the floor until they came to an abrupt stop against the far wall like two massive boulders crashing against a mountain.
"It's me, Grayson," Zane choked out, trying to release the steel grip that the male had on his neck. "Let go. It's me."
Grayson's eyes snapped open, and he jumped to his feet, pulling Zane up after him.
"What did you see?" Zane asked, straightening his shirt.
"I can't explain it," he said, staring at the room like he didn't recognize it. He closed his eyes again, and the scene continued to unfold. "I have to go."
In a flash, he disappeared from the study.
"Well, I guess that worked," Zane marveled for a moment before taking off after him. If it was his sister that Grayson saw, then she was apparently in trouble. And he was going to be there to help.
