Chapter 256 - Progeny

Zagan had never moved so quickly as a human. Penelope gasped, hands flying over her mouth when he lunged and set Peter flat out on the ground with one punch. 

"Zagan!" 

"What?" He asked innocently, shrugging as he did. "He's alive. We can't let him call security." 

Penelope just stood there with her hands folded over her mouth. She had made a mistake. She was always so careful, but somehow she had misspoke, and now the head researcher at Eliade was sprawled out on the floor. This was not part of the plan. Not at all. 

"Peter Whitman," Zagan nudged the man with his foot. "You even have the same initials." 

Penelope frowned and finally dropped her hands to her sides. "What does that have to do with anything?" 

"You didn't think to tell me that you had a past?" His one eyebrow raised in her direction.
