Penelope's relative Collette lived in a small remote cabin by the sea where waves were continually crashing upon the rocky shore. It was Maine. The waves were cold and wild.
When Penelope and Zagan had arrived through the portal out front and an old woman with long straggly hair and a bent back hobbled around the front of the cabin, Zagan thought that perhaps they had landed in the wrong place. The fact that this Collette was apparently a scientist and was related to his beautiful mate cast a much different picture in his mind than the one that was meeting him. He expected a sterile, secret laboratory in a major city center run by a superhero mastermind. This was much different.
"Penny?" The old woman had squinted, her gray hair whipping wildly around her.
"Letty!"
