"The spaghetti looks delicious. Thank you," Cora said, taking her plate from August who was serving it while Graeme was finishing up in the kitchen.
"It's one of Evie's favorites, too," Graeme said.
He finally brought a plate to join everyone at the table. The only seat left was right across from Zagan, and he gave the male a tight smile as he pulled the chair out. This was for his family. This was for his pack. This was for the goddess. That was the only reason why he was sitting down in his own house, at his own table, with someone who had hurt him deeply in more ways than one.
"Genevieve is named after your mother?" Cora asked him, twisting her fork into the dish.
Theo had mentioned it to her one time before. Graeme's late parents were Genevieve and Derek, and Theo's sister had the matriarch's namesake.
