"We need to talk to Bellona," Graeme said gruffly, staring at his Beta.
"It's inexcusable," Sam said, shaking his head. "I can't believe he would do this."
"So you knew he was lying?" Theo growled, jabbing at the counter.
"We did not scent deceit on him until he spoke about your mother, but…" Graeme raked a hand down his face, "after he made that claim, I couldn't take any chances. I had to at least come check in with you two. I'm sorry, Thelonious. I'm sorry Cora," he added softly.
"I don't understand. I don't understand any of this," Theo groaned into his hands and began pacing the kitchen.
"The part about the vampires and demons has to be true," Cora said, hugging herself. "This is my fault. I'm sorry. I'm sorry your pack is facing this. It obviously has something to do with me. It has to be the Camazotz," she said, her eyes finding Theo's.
