Chapter 215 - Balance

Red clouded Theo's vision—the rage of having witnessed the Camazotz attack Cora far above him where he remained helpless on the ground—and his snarling wolf sprang forth. Gia instinctively followed suit, becoming her auburn wolf in order to provide back up for the Alpha heir.

It was written deep into her being—in her genetic code itself. When the Alpha senses danger, the rest of the pack springs wordlessly into action in order to defend or to attack. 

A waterfall manifested as if from the very air itself, rushing in an arc over the side of the cliff just as the Camazotz was knocked loose from where it had grabbed Cora around the neck. Its body fell, and Theo lunged for it with the unapologetic snarls of an animal set to kill. He grabbed it at the neck, sinking his teeth into the flesh that was not flesh. It was tough and leathery with nothing soft that gave way beneath his canines.
