David's face went from being frozen in disbelief—like he had just learned that his mate was pregnant with a girl, but like… in the future—to cleaving in concern.
"Why would I hate you? Why would I be scared?" He asked, moving to the chair next to her and tilting her chin up so she wouldn't hide again.
"I know things that you aren't ready for. I'm sorry. I can't help it," she sniffled. "I try to never talk about it, but I guess… being with you now, I'm just so relieved," she chuckled.
