David made his way out of the house where his parents and Graeme and August were still arguing. It seemed that Theo's predicament wasn't something that the rest of the pack was going to hear about for now. Just as Gia and David had kept it a secret to protect the pack, it seemed Graeme and August were planning on doing that as well. There was too much risk of a wide-spread panic and hysteria if it was known that the heir was off trying to retrieve their future Luna from a world of vampires.
How could David be left out of this? He was the Beta! Or the future Beta. Why hadn't Theo come to see him? Why hadn't Gia? It felt like he had lost touch with two of the closest people in his life, and now they were both off in this perilous situation, and he had been left out of it.
