"Thundering Falls, Shining Rock, and Great Gulf," Graeme repeated to everyone who was gathered again in the conference room, including Sage who looked much better. He practically had Gia in his lap. Obviously whatever they had gone through in the dungeon cell had only made him more desperate to have her close.
"These are the packs the three males were from who lured Gia out," Graeme said. "It was their mission to get as much information from her as they could about our alyko and our Luna in particular and then… to kill her, striking first to the heart of our pack before we had time for our defenses to be fully in place."
All eyes in the room darted to where Gia was, including Greta and Sam's who were both sitting around the table—all leadership roles from the perimeter having been called in for this meeting. How could this have almost happened? How was it possible that they had almost lost her?
