Chapter 144 - I Can Help

The strays were kept in separate cells within the dungeon, and Lucas led Gia and Sage down into the underground area and past empty cells with solid doors toward the three that were now occupied. 

As they were walking, Gia couldn't help but wonder how Pearce had escaped this place. There was no obvious way that he could have done it. He would have had to get the solid door unlocked, slip past the guards, and then made it off of pack land without anyone scenting him or seeing him. 

Gia shook her head silently. It didn't make any sense. Someone had to have helped him. There was no other way that it could have been possible. He was not in his physical prime at the time either. He would have been slower and weaker than most of the other males here. They were either looking at someone from outside sneaking onto pack land and helping him or—the most unlikely and unthinkable—someone within their pack setting him free and sneaking him out.
