"This is what I wanted to show you," Cora said proudly after they had walked through a maze of hedges and beautiful weeping flowers draped over root lattices that created a ceiling above them.
This entire place felt magical, and Theo continued to have the sense that all of this—everything she had created—was plucked directly from a fae dimension. These plants came from inside of her—they didn't need to be replicas of sunflowers or daisies or roses or lilies like one would find among humans. These were different… like mythic plants from a fantasy or from another world.
Cora chuckled when his eyes swept around, not seeing what it was she was showing him. That was how she had intended it. That was what kept it hidden and secret.
