Chapter 8 - Chapter 8:

The giant guy who's already mad at me is the man I have to fight or else I die.

I never even got to see my new world. This really really sucks. Maybe I had a chance though, that Galeforce thing I learned is really cool and powerful, more importantly, however, I have a new rep. God, I hate that name, I'm just gonna call it a special item (SI). Hoshi might be a business guru but he sucks at naming things.

I saw an object right next to me that I had never seen before, it was a small dagger. I picked it up.

[The Talon (A-) has been added to your inventory]

"What the hell? I thought this thing was supposed to be super strong. What a waste of my time" I threw it away as a piece of trash.

Instead of hitting the ground like a normal knife, it darted through the air and pierced through a few trees next to me, hitting a worm perfectly. "What the hell this is so cool. I always knew this thing was powerful. My hard work had paid off." I went to go pick it up. It seemed to attack the closest living thing, but what if I was to actually aim it? I went and found a rabbit close by, it was already running when I threw it and it struck it perfectly in its left leg. Thank god it didn't hit the bird that was closer, that would have been awkward.

This was an amazing turn of events. I now had 2 things that could help me beat this Shogun! His eyes reminded me of others I had faced, this guy might have also been bloodlusted.

I felt that I was ready.

I found the fortress once again, I snuck inside once more, the officials were having another meeting, just like the one I interupted all those months ago. Breathing heavily, I walked inside and yelled "GREAT SHOGUN! I CHALLENGE YOU TO A DUEL!"

Silence.

In a weird case of deja vu, I found a bunch of eyes staring at me, with two big red ones piercing right through me.

A loud bellowing laugh filled the air suddenly. The Shogun.

"You little rat, first you steal my scrolls, now you think you have the power to face me? Fine, I'll take you up on your offer, tonight, sundown, outside this fortress, that is your one chance to face me."

I agreed and ran, grateful that I had more time to prepare. This guy was different, the way he spoke, there's no way he was bloodlusted but he still seemed to have that strength about him. Weird. I suppose the only thing I could do now was wait.

{Insert a few hours of crying and strategizing}

It was finally time. I walked over to the fortress for what could be the last time, a small crowd was surrounding a dirt pit where the Great Shogun was standing in. My plan was simple, I would use my speed and dagger to immobilize him and finish him off before he could react.

With the blazing sun setting fast, I walked into the arena. "Alright let's get this over with you giant frog." I was hoping to increase his anger and make him act rash. Instead he just laughed. "Children like you need to be taught a lesson on respect." He took off his robe and got in a battle stance "its time for you to get what you deserve you pigeon."
