(Demon king)
"Hey, what's going on? Are the humans still attacking?"
The ogre in front of me answered in a fearful tone:
"Yes sir! But we have sent enough people to the door, so none of them have been able to go inside!"
"Hmmm... They sent less than a thousand people. That's quite a lot less than what is needed to storm this place, and they should know this as well. All of this is really fishy, don't you think?"
"Yes, absolutely sir! You are right sir!"
I smiled brightly when I saw the ogre's reaction.
"Chill! There's no need to stress, my friend. You know, we're all just people living in this world. There's no difference between the two of us! Just do your best and you can live without regrets. Hihihihaha!"
The ogre looked even more fearful after hearing my inspirational talk.
"Alright, alright. It's fine if you're scared. After all, it's only natural. Anyways, do you want to join me in my stroll around the base? Haaahahaha, of course you do! It will be in your best interest, after all."
Hooking my arm around the ogre's hand, I led him out of the throne room.

[10 minutes later]
(Soldier)
We were in a huge underground tunnel right under the demon's headquarters. Although there were around 2000 people here, you could barely hear any conversations going on.
"Attention! We will be commencing our attack on the demon king in a moment. Everyone, prepare yourselves."
After the commander spoke, no one made a sound. The underground tunnel became completely tranquil. It was exactly like the calm before the storm.
Until...
~BOOM~
"Attack, soldiers! Charge!"
The dark tunnel lit up with the light coming from the throne room right above our heads. With a hole in the ceiling, we all jumped out of the tunnel into the throne room.
... Although there were no enemies in the room.
"Don't panic! Move in groups of 50 people and spread out! When an enemy is spotted, immediately eliminate them! Call for back-up when needed! If you happen to find the demon king, then instantly notify me and we will all rush towards him! Now go!"
"Yes sir!"
I sprinted out of the room and headed into a random direction with 49 other soldiers. The sooner someone found the demon king, the sooner our mission would be complete, thus resulting in less casualties on our side.

[20 minutes later]
Every group started searching for the demon king and killed any demon they spotted. The first few minutes went as expected. Every group found a few stray demons and they immediately killed the demons without making a lot of noise.
This went on for a few minutes, but after the first few demons were killed, all the enemies suddenly disappeared. Except for the area near the other group that was baiting the enemies, the rest of the base felt abandoned. Even though the point of the baiting group was to bait most of the enemies away, there weren't enough enemies near them for the rest of the building to be deserted.
While we were searching for the demon king, the other group that was baiting the majority of the enemies reported that nearly all the demons and ogres suddenly retreated back into the building, leaving only a few ogres and demons defending the door.
The commander called everyone back to the throne room to hold a quick meeting.
"Since no one has been able to find the demon king and a lot of enemies have suddenly gone missing, I have come to a conclusion! The demons have some kind of secret room or place where everyone is currently hiding! We will follow the retreating enemies from the shadows and find their secret room! We will split up again, but everyone will go in the general direction of the bait-group! When you spot a demon or ogre, follow them and make sure they don't see you! If you manage to find the secret room, report back to me! Now go!"
I sprinted out of the room again and went towards the bait-group. My group spotted a group of demons frantically rushing out of a hallway, ramming straight through a door.
We quickly followed the demons from behind, but when we entered the room, there was absolutely nothing there. No demons, no other doors, not even furniture.
Since this was really abnormal, we decided to report it back to the commander.
"Sir! We were following a group of demons and saw them rushing into a room. After we entered that room, there was nothing in there! The demons had no way to leave the room without us seeing them, so we think that the secret room is somewhere near this room!"
"Alright, I'll be there in a few minutes. In the meantime, go search every corner of that room!"
"Yes sir!"
"Alright everyone! Let's start with searching through the room. If we can't find anything, then we will try to break the walls, floor and ceiling of this room."
The other soldiers quickly touched all the walls, floor and ceiling. We left no stone unturned, before we started trying to break through the walls.
We tried to make a few holes in the wall, but there was only more wall behind the wall. We then tried to break through the ground, but the same thing happened.
Lastly, we tried to break through the ceiling, and that was when we finally found something.
There was some kind of dark hallway above the room, with a huge staircase leading to the top of the building.
"Let's wait here until the commander has reached us! This looks like some kind of secret area where all the enemies should be located!"
We all waited right under the hole in the ceiling, until we saw the commander sprinting towards us, leading a group of around 50 soldiers.
The commander quickly asked:
"Did you manage to find something?"
"We found another secret area above the ceiling. It leads to the top of the building, but we haven't gone up yet."
The commander furrowed his brows slightly and looked at the ceiling, seemingly thinking about the next move.
"Alright, we will call all other troops here and then go upstairs to the secret area. Until then, we will wait here and make sure no demon comes back downstairs. We'll also need the bait-group to help in this battle, since most of the enemies are together again. Now go prepare yourself, this will be the deciding battle... probably."

(Kevin Ernestyn)
This battle has been going on for 30 minutes, but barely anything has happened after the first few minutes.
Although there were a lot of enemies, most of them stayed inside, defending the door to the base. Only a few ogres and demons were actively going outside of the building to murder the soldiers, but most of the soldiers just kept backing off and dodging the attacks.
Although the shaking ground was annoying in the beginning, we quickly got used to it. There were only about 11 casualties on our side, while their side lost nearly 60 demons. Although the ogres were all still alive, we didn't actively try to kill them, since our goal was to stall for time and keep their attention on us.
"Humans! Stop running away and fight!"
Even though our main goal was to stall for time, this didn't stop us from attacking them from a distance. These attacks were usually just annoying for the ogres, except for when we aimed for their vulnerable spots, like their eyes or their... Anyways, even though the ogres didn't get affected much by the ranged attacks, the same couldn't be said for the demons.
I looked towards a demon slowly crawling on the ground. Both his legs had an arrow sticking out of them, while one of his wings was completely ripped off of his back.
I speedily ran towards the dying demon, and pierced his head with my sword, killing him in an instant.
I then picked up the corpse of the demon and put miniature explosives inside his head. I then threw the corpse towards an ogre standing far away from the rest of the enemies. This was the exact same technique I used with my scabbard, but this time I used a demon corpse.
I aimed the corpse at the ogre's eyes, but the ogre caught the corpse in his hand before the corpse could hit his face.
'This should be close enough. Let's be the first to kill an ogre in this battle.'
The corpse exploded in the ogre's hand, violently splashing the demon's flesh and blood all over the ogre.
"AAAAHH! I can't see!"
The important part is that a lot of blood got in the eyes of the ogre, temporarily blinding him.
Without wasting another second, I jumped towards the ogre and cut both of his Achilles tendons. The ogre collapsed face first on the ground, while I jumped onto his back.
I grasped the hilt of my sword with both of my hands and pushed the sword into the nape of the ogre's neck.
Since the skin and flesh of the ogre was too strong, I couldn't completely pierce through his neck and kill him.
I pulled my sword out of his neck, and then immediately plunged it back in, carving a bit of his flesh off. Before the ogre could shake me off of him, I stuffed the hole in his neck with explosives.
I then jumped off of his back and ran away from him.
~BOOM~
A loud explosion could be heard from where the ogre was lying on the ground and a huge smokescreen could be seen enveloping his body.
When the smoke finally subsided, the headless corpse of the ogre could be seen on the ground.
Although his body from the neck down wasn't damaged much, the lack of a head confirmed that the ogre was indeed dead.
"The first ogre is dead!"
Another soldier who saw the dead ogre on the ground shouted in excitement.
"Yeah, let's go!"
Before we could get too thrilled, we suddenly heard an order from the commander of the other group through our transmitter.
"We found a secret area in the base of the demons! We will help you with killing the enemies by the entrance, and then we will all go to the secret area and kill the rest of the enemies, including the demon king!"
Hearing the commander's order through the transmitter, I also shouted:
"Everyone! We just have to wait for the reinforcements to get here, so stall for time even more than before!"
We all immediately ran away from the enemies, not even trying to engage them anymore.
'All we have to do now is run and wait.'
