Task Force - Retake
Tnzia - Knight Eight takes the role of leader and they are given the mission which is as follows :
Retake Burdar
A simple and clear cut mission it would seem, James is worried about John
Antonio can't you run some kind of algorithm to find him?
John said
I simply do not know enough about Master John
Antonio replied
Xavier reassures James, but to lose John would be like losing everything he has known, it would be the worst case scenario for him,
It's John, if anyone can survive out here it's that guy
Tom said
James finally calms down a little, as they continue their mission watching the countless bodies on their way, littered with the mistakes of Knight 4 ,
All the members of the task force are enraged,
Why the hell did high command put that kid here?
Tnzia said
It is the high command, The commander of all forces has near to no say after what happens one Okina,
The fools running high command are simple royals who do not know what to do, I heard The Grim Reaper say one thing about a monarchy
"A monarchy will only lead to anarchy in the end"
That is the most he had communicated to me when we were off mission,
Xavier said
Yeah the Commander always has a plan, it was probably a sabotage from the royals to defame him after all he was more famous then the royals,
The commander does agree, this planet is valuable it can be one of the greatest healing planets, but the royals need the knights for their "Personal Ventures".
Urdok said
Tom, James and Antonio all were surprised, these words that the prestigious knights just said could be easily implicated as treason, a simple and clear cut death penalty, they soon start to approach the site, Burdar if it was not for the Janko's we wouldn't even get the Intel report about the massacre, the place was littered with bodies, puddles of blood everywhere, and the task force decided to hide , Antonio peeked and said
25 Snipers, and 10 to 20 Swordsmen and I see a couple thousand Soldiers,
Tnzia sat there thinking of a plan, and she took out a map,
Xavier and James you take out the snipers , Urdok and Tom you take out the soldiers, I and Antonio could take out the Swordsmen they have, after that we will contact HQ establish an outpost a bit further up from here, since there is a forest up ahead, and after a few minutes of refining the plan they launch, First the snipers are killed, an alarm goes off but then the diversion attacks, Urdok and Tom both attack the larger and disorganized covenant soldiers, the enemy Exlarns (Swordsmen) go to hel them but are intercepted by Antonio and Tnzia.
The Battle Begins, The Swordsmen try to regroup but then Xavier and James attack cutting the Exlarns into two groups, and the Exlarns start to take their stance,
Not so fast, James said
Rushing into the group of enemies he attacks them taking out an Exlarn instantly , the others attack him but he dodges the attacks, they all start to attack him, James starts to get overwhelmed,
Sorry, but today is not your day, Xavier said
All the Exlarns are sent flying with one attack from Xavier, they start to retreat but are picked off by Xavier as he kills a couple of them saying,
You guys are supposed to have pride and honour, shattered honour and pride I suppose,
The Exlarns left all go for a do or die resistance and in unison yell
LIMITER 12 UNLOCKED
their power erupt only six of them were left, Urdok and Tom had done their mission and it was a 6 VS 6 the battle Begins , The Taskforce had a hard time defending against the Exlarns
So you do have a tiny drop of pride after all
Xavier said
As he blocks one of the attacks and disarms the Exlarn, but with a punch to the face he is sent stumbling back but he gets back on his feet, The Exlarn desperately launches at him, Xavier for a second questions his morals and that is enough for him to be sent flying, at this point all of them question their morals, they have no real goal, yes the covenant are a danger but it is an old saying famous in every race " there are no real winners in war " and this seemed more and more apparent as the bodies piled up, but it was their mission an oath that binds them to this, after all there is a reason why there are not thousands of Swordsmen running around, soon they finish off with the Exlarn, Xavier starts to dig a grave for each of them saying,
' Iam the Knight of Pride and I feel embarrassed that I doubted their will and pride '
said Xavier
They buried all of the Exlarns, their blades of honour shall be with them forever, but then the ground begins to shake and from the horizon we see five PROTOTYPES and The knights are simply annoyed, Tnzia grabs one of the enemy radio and she was about to say something but drops the radio,
' The covenant and UFP have one thing in common we got fools for high command ' Tnzia said
James, Tom and Antonio took their stances but the knights signaled them to back off just this once.
Their aura erupts the air felt heavy, the prototypes had a hard time moving, they knights launched at unison and a trail of explosion is seen, the Prototypes turn to dust except one,
' This is for examining ' Tnzia said
and they called HQ for ground forces so they could establish a base they sent the coordinates for the base, as decided before it was further up in a forest, Urdok and Tom had already scouted the are out and the Task Force went to secure it making sure nobody else was there
