'Did I overdo it?' Lexus paced outside their room. He had kept knocking for a while but Anna did not even react. It would have been better if she yelled at him. Her silence gave him the chills. He didn't like it.
When she freed herself from his embrace, Lexus was alarmed. She had been allowing him to hold her since they got married. It hurt that she was suddenly rejecting him again. And the only reason he could think about was last night.
'Why did I have to do that?' he scolded himself for teasing Anna too much. She may not be one who enjoyed getting treated like that. She might have been fine when he teased her like that before, months ago, because she was drunk. She may not be up for it now.
Anna said it was not about that but it was clear that she had a grudge. Lexus did enjoy getting teased a bit, but too long would be frustrating. He realized that he had fun but Anna may have not had as much fun as she should have because of what he did.
