The look in her beautiful eyes gave me a pang of hurt in my chest, she was so innocent in this life that she was thrown into that I just wanted to hold her and never let go. "Mr Valen sir would it be fine if I sleep now?" . My little firefly asked me, I could still smell the warriness and fear rolling off her but she didn't show it to me. Yes Girl go to sleep, I answered her and almost immediately her eyes flattered close. I sat a few hours more and was about to leave when she whimpered and tossed in her sleep mumbling "don't hurt me please". I shake her gently awake and she opened her eyes still in a daze, when she focused on me and heard my voice her fear strakes me like a knife to the heart. "Get away please I didn't see anything" she yelled and cried histerically, I pulled her into my lap and hold her tight while whispering in her ear shh sweet Mila Lynn be calm I would never hurt you. Looks like it worked because she stopped trashing against me and looked up at my face, I smiled at her but it was as if something flicked inside of her because she jumped out of my arms and run out the door to her own room, leaving me flabbergasted. I wished she never saw what happened it's going to make the process so much more difficult, I sighed looking at the door when it opened and in walked Tish looking at me with lustful eyes. "Avie my babe I missed you". What the fuck do you want, I made it clear I have my mate now so I am not interested in you babe. "That bitch! Really Avie?". GET OUT OF MY FUCKING SIGHT AND IF YOU DARE RETURN I WILL KILL YOU BITCH!. She smirked at me and left slamming the door making me more angry. I smelled vanilla and chocolate and darted to the door, opening it I look into her eyes. "I am sorry sir, please forgive me my rudeness". I looked at her and decided to play a bit, Mila Lynn please go make me a sandwich I am starving. "Yes sir, anything particular you want on the sarmie"? No anything you can find, oh and a cup of hot chocolate please?. "You mean hot cocoa sir?". Yes Girl thank you and bring it to the study I have a lot of work. "Yes sir". When she left I smiled and went to the study, I started to work on the rogue problem when suddenly I heard a commotion. "What the fuck do we have here? A little human girl right in the middle of my Saint brother's kitchen". "Sorry I am making a sandwich and hot cocoa for Mr Valen sir". "Oh my your so sweet Mr Valen you say ah and then your mouth watering as well". Yes that's my oldest brother Flint, he's a vampire. I quickly walked to the kitchen and saw Flint was holding her arm smelling her, "brother you have a sweet temptation here in your territory". Flint back the fuck off right now or you will only leave a bitter taste in my mouth. "Wow there Alpha sorry sorry", he said to me and winked at Mila Lynn then left. "She was trembling from fear and anxiety, I caught her the moment her steps faltered. "I am so sorry sir I will bring your snack in a while". Hey hey it's fine sweetheart I can take it from here. "No sir please let me be at your service". I groaned at that sentence, if only she knew that I wanted to be at her service and worship her body mind and soul, but for now we shall take it snail pace. I let her lead the way and watched how her hips swayed, she opened the door and accidentally grind against my very aroused buddy. She looks up at me and apologized. " I am sorry sir I didn't mean to touch you". Mmm it's fine girl, go to bed it's getting very late and I need you sharp and on point tomorrow morning. "Yes sir thank you". With that she left and I enjoyed the snack she bought me, but oh that wonderful feeling of her against me was a pleasure I would love to feel again. After my snack and dirty thoughts I worked a bit when I heard glas breaking and a voice I know to well yelled out, the Alpha inside of me came to life and sprinted to the scene only to be met with a look that melted my heart. There sits my little mate on the floor with flour scattered all over her looking up at me with a shocked expression and a hint of fear for my reaction,that saddened me. I was a bit annoyed I thought she got hurt but more relieved she's okay, I looked at her and said do explain yourself girl. "Sorry sir I just wanted some hot chocolate and then the flour attacked me when it came falling out of the cupboard along with the hot chocolate, I am so sorry sir". I felt a little remorse for feeling annoyed at her and smiled at her cuteness, but before I could think I picked her up and kissed her. She gasped when I pulled back looking at her and then ,then I fled from the scene after I realised what I have done, I was leaving my firefly flabbergasted. I went up to my room and looked at myself in the mirror, what the fuck did you do Xavier? She is a human and doesn't know what you are!. I sat down on my bed clutching my chest, a burning pain soared through me and I feel a connection broke. Before I can act on it a sudden knock to my door brought me out of my rant, revealing Blake and Marie looking very upset, worried and sad. What's the meaning of this gamma? Then he said words that broke me, "Alpha your father passed away 5 minutes ago....
