"You look like shit," Alpha Adolphus replied to Cailean as he scanned her from head to toe, seeing that the woman and Spade who was with her were both covered in blood and slimy substance.
Cailean chuckled and said the same to him, "You are in a shittier state than I am, you know?"
"I suppose," the Alpha replied with his low voice then sniffed the air and looked at them, "That scent is familiar. Where is Vic?"
"How did you know that name?" Cailean asked, being more aware, and got herself ready for a possible attack from the enemy Alpha, "Is he one of yours?"
"Former ally turned to enemy," Alpha Adolphus replied and acted as if he was thinking, then waved his hand, dismissing the revelation to Cailean, "But it doesn't matter, is he dead?"
