There was a strange silence that they have while hearing the soles of their own shoes make satisfying clicking sounds as they step down. He wanted to look at Cailean and make up for what they had done earlier, if not only Carlos interrupted them in the middle of their business upstairs.
But he does not have to take it out on him just because he could not satisfy his lips on touching hers.
