Wang Ye graduated from high school in the summer of 2000. After the college entrance examination results were released, his score could only get him into the worst Tier 2 schools or colleges.
Since he did not wish to compromise on his choices, he was bound to not attend university at all.
So he started looking for opportunities to study abroad. Due to a rather unreliable intermediary, he was delayed for half a year before he finally left around early January 2001, arriving in Moscow.

On the homepage of the class alumni directory, Wang Ye saw a notice saying that a class QQ Group had been established and asking all members to join directly.
