Without waiting till the next day, Lao Liu hopped on a bus and headed home right after school that very afternoon.
His home wasn't far from the county seat, so when he got home, it was just after six, just in time for dinner.
His parents were in the middle of their meal.
Seeing Lao Liu return, both were a bit surprised. It wasn't the weekend, so why had their son suddenly come home?
"Did you skip school again! I've told you countless times, you're about to take the college entrance examination, you need to study hard. Buckle down and maybe you could get into a college or something." His father said sternly.
Obviously, he hadn't given up on Lao Liu completely, he still had the slightest hopes...
"Alright, alright, studying isn't easy for the child after all, if he can't get into a university, then so be it. Xiao Liu, you haven't eaten yet, right? Come on, sit down and eat." His mother quickly jumped in to defend her son.
