"Knock, knock, knock..."
It was past eight in the morning.
The faded wooden door was being knocked on.

"How did you know I was back?"

"My mom told me. Bro, why didn't you give us a heads-up? We could've picked you up. If Auntie Pan hadn't chatted with my mom last night, we would've had no idea you were back."
The youth seemed very familiar with the Jiang family, sitting on the wooden sofa and starting to unpack the breakfast on the coffee table.
Two bowls of beef noodles.
Plus some steamed buns and fried dough sticks.
"How are your folks?"
